I am a mystical, creative, animist and @narchist, care & community advocate, somatic educator and caregiver with over 5 years of in-depth training, mentorship and experience in Yoga philosophy and somatic education + care, a literal lifetime of training and experience in the talented arts, 22 years as a freelance graphic & web designer, as well as over 17 years in the bar service industry in NYC & NJ.

About Me
I’m a queer, neurodiverse, multi-ethnic, eldest first generation daughter of two Immigrant parents; my mother immigrating from Argentina, my father from Cuba, and of Indigenous ancestry of so-called Eastern South “America,” Northern Spain and many other regions of the world.

With my identities comes…
my inherited gifts of care-tending, creative expression, Animism & a closeness and connection to the Earth and Her beings, my practice in holistic care; food & plants as medicine, body worker and a ritualist by Heart, and the ancestral connection to Resistance, Rebellion, Liberation, and search for Spiritual connection and Truth

and the wounding and accompanying shadow work of colonization, patriarchy & capitalism; the disconnect of my ancestors and lineage, loss of security, resource, and autonomy, loss of extended family and community, loss of a Matriarchal way of being, disconnection & loss of spiritual and sacred traditional practices, loss and confusion of identity and a loss of my childhood.

All these pieces make a whole Me, they shape how I Love and care, my Grief, my humor, my personalities, what I find beautiful and painful, how I teach & work, my insight, my values, how I interact with the world.

I am someone who believes in and is working toward (psychiatric) abolition and have intentional chosen not to go through any government or state-sanctioned licensure or training. Instead, I study and practice the modalities I now offer by first being led through them in my own lived experience and by training with educators and mentors rooted in spiritual and cultural lineage, as well as self study and practice.

This led me to a reconnecting and re-membering the growth, flexibility & healing capacity of our bodies through knowledge, movement, breath, our creative and spiritual nature, community, relationships, care and Devotion.

a note on
un-colonizing knowledge
As an artist, educator & caregiver who is continuously & actively un-colonizing, I believe it is important and in right relation to name our lineages, teachers, education, experience, and sources; to name and honor tradition, ancestors, elders and teachers in order to help mitigate cultural appropriation & erasure that is often found in the “spiritual and wellness” industry and Western yoga industry.

As we unlearn these systems of domination and divest from these care-less, harmful, violent, colonial, carceral, profit over people institutions, we will need multiple sources of knowledge & education through teachers & creatives, lineage, self-study and lived direct experience, this includes learning through mistakes too!
