I am a mystical, multi-passionate, divergent, life time creative + ritualist and a care-centered + community aimed, somatic educator, guide and care giver with over 4 years of in-depth training and mentorship in Yoga philosophy and somatic education + care.

Education

As someone who loves to learn through experience I studied many modalities by first being led through them in my own direct healing & growth experience, followed by training with teachers rooted in lineage and learning through my lived experience as well as self study.

My experiences led me to an awakening of reconnecting and re-memebering the growth, flexibility & healing capacity of our bodies through movement, breath, our creative nature and devotion.

Why I Care

As a first generation eldest daughter, queer Hispanic woman of Indigenous and immigrant ancestors (both colonized and the colonizer), my moral views, relationships and spiritual journey have been sculpted by my lived experience, my inherited gifts & knowledge, as well as the systematic oppressions that are intertwined with my identities.

The inherited gifts of my expression, my creative nature, Animism & a closeness and connection to the Earth and Her beings, my practice in holistic care; food & plants as medicine, body work and a ritualist by Heart, and the ancestral connection to Liberation and search for spiritual Truth.

The wounding of colonization, patriarchy & capitalism; the disconnect of my ancestry, loss of security, resource, and autonomy, loss of extended family and lineage, loss of a Matriarchal way of being, loss of spiritual practices, loss and confusion of identity and a loss of childhood.

Like a lot of the people I meet with and care for, our childhood and maybe up until most of our life, we felt lost, accumulated traumas, grief, hurt, and of course, joys too; but felt stuck, disconnected, purposeless, and have/had a constant heart ache of pain and confusion and for something bigger.

It is a privilege to be able to explore and share ways to feel, transmute and create from these experiences in a way that can help and care for others who need and want it!

a note on

Un-colonizing Knowledge

As an artist, educator & caregiver who is continuously & actively un-colonizing, I believe it is important and in right relation to name our teachers, education and sources; to honor lineage, tradition, elders and teachers, in order to help mitigate cultural appropriation that is often found in the Western yoga industry and the spiritual and wellness industry.

As we unlearn these systems of domination and divest from these care-less, harmful, violent, colonial, profit over people institutions, we will need multiple sources of knowledge & education through teachers & creatives, lineage, self-study and lived direct experience, this includes learning through mistakes too!
